The witnesses represented King Schools, an aviation-training company, and businesses affiliated with the National Air Transportation Associationand the AircraftOwnersandPilotsAssociation (AOPA).
The AircraftOwnersandPilotsAssociation, representing general aviation pilots, said the Chicago no-fly zone did not pose a significant inconvenience on planes or private-use airports.
Chris Dancy, a spokesman for the AircraftOwnersandPilotsAssociation, says another problem with proposal is that it actually diminishes the amount of federal oversight on FAA revenues.
