Ms Bilsborough added that since the wildlife conference first held five years ago, there had been a reduction in the number of people carrying out badgerbaiting and egg thefts in north Wales.
The figures, revealed by Ms Abbott in a parliamentary question, showed that prosecutions for crimes including badgerbaiting have risen each year since 2007 - with only a minor dip to 48 in 2010 from 50 in 2009.
