Baros joined Villa on a four-year contract in August 2005 after dropping to fourth choice behind strikers Djibril Cisse, Fernando Morientes and Peter Crouch at Liverpool.
Former Liverpool star Harry Kewell, a team-mate of Neill's in the Australia team, and ex-Aston Villa striker Milan Baros are already playing at the Ali Sami Yen Stadium.
The Villa boss will hope that the return of central defender Mellberg from a hamstring injury and 10-goal Baros following an ankle problem will help to improve the club's fortunes.
