Throw in classical colonnades, cupolas and a Buddhastatue from the 1958 film Inn of the Sixth Happiness, all cradled by the majestic Welsh mountains, and it is a rather bizarre place to spend an afternoon.
Last year, three French tourists were given suspended prison sentences for taking photographs that showed them pretending to kiss a statue of Buddha at a temple.
The archaeologist says the third statue - dubbed the Sleeping Buddha because it is shown reclining - is hidden in the shadow of the rock niches which housed the other two statues.
