Reading an analysis in the Wall Street Journal by Joseph Walker, one word represented the great virtue Yahoo CEOScottThompson must bring to his new job: focus.
Over the weekend, the company announced Ross Levinsohn would replace ScottThompson as Interim CEO and that Dan Loeb and 2 other of his nominees would join the board, with several long-tenured members leaving immediately.
Known for firing off harsh letters lambasting corporate executives and board members of companies he is targeting, in 2012 Loeb led a successful effort to dislodge ScottThompson from the CEO position at Yahoo and replace him with Marissa Mayer.
