Barnardo's claims some children in Wales are waiting up to 59 weeks in unstable family homes or emergency fostercare before a court rules if they will be taken into care.
"Anybody -- anywhere, anytime -- can go on our website, and they can look at hundreds of wishes that are posted on behalf of children in fostercare and children in vulnerable family environments, " Gletow said.
The chronic shortage of foster carers across Wales means that many children being looked after by local councils are not receiving the kind of personal and fully committed care they need from a dedicated fosterfamily.
Before her career in television, she worked as an attorney in New York City representing foster parents in the family court system who wished to adopt the children in their care.
Reductions in many agencies enabled large expansions in others, like Family and Social Services, which added hundreds of workers to stem a crisis in the fostercare and child protection system.
