Consistent with section 201(a)(2) of the Implementation Act, Panama is to be removed from the enumeration of designated beneficiary developing countries eligible for the benefits of the GeneralizedSystemofPreferences (GSP).
Poland and Hungary are now seeking access to a number of U.S. trade and financial privileges, including: permanent or multi-year most-favored-nation status, tariff benefits under the generalizedsystemofpreferences, eligibility for Overseas Private Investment Corporation programs and large-scale debt relief.
