London gallerist David Gill remembers going to Dixon's first-ever show, "Creative Salvage, " held above a hairdressingsalon on Kensington Church Street.
Even when it first appeared, the brightly colored angular landscapes looked a bit dated and the bulky headsets looked more like a hood dryer at a hairdressingsalon than a cutting edge piece of technology.
There was even a hairdressingsalon where men could have their facial hair shaved with an open razor, made possible because the barber's chair was set in such a position that there would be "no jolting".
This works especially as this introduction of Gus (David Harewood) is followed by another main character Linvall (Fraser James) appearing to be the boss of a hairdressingsalon but being immediately revealed to be an employee of a tacky photographic studio instead.
