The chain is joining competitors racing to expand in the region, including HiltonWorldwide Inc. and Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, owner of the Radisson Blu brand.
HiltonWorldwide Inc. executives said that roughly 3% of the 560 Hilton-branded hotels currently under development in the U.S. are financed at least in part with EB-5 proceeds.
The property portfolio here consists of full-service hotels in the upper-upper and upscale segments of the market located in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeastern U.S. often near the Atlantic coast under such brands as HiltonWorldwide, InterContinental, Starwood and Resorts.
