"The whole environment has changed dramatically in the last few months, " said IHS Global Insight economist Howard Archer.
"I think everyone doing business in China is skeptical of the data, " said analyst Alistair Thornton of IHS Global Insight.
This implies "significant austerity in the public sector" according to Laurence Allan, Latin American and Caribbean analyst at IHS Global Insight.
But Diego Iscaro, an economist with IHS Global Insight, believes the Irish government's actions so far have been in the right direction.
"It's a very pragmatic move, " said Roman Mathyssek of IHS Global Insight.
"The Bank of England will be far from happy with the October consumer price inflation data, " said Howard Archer, analyst at IHS Global Insight.
Such is the nature of an increasingly fragmented media industry, says Peter Boyland, an analyst with IHS Global Insight, and Sky needs to evolve accordingly.
"Given that consumer spending accounts for some 65% of GDP, this is worrying for growth prospects, " said Howard Archer, chief economist at IHS Global Insight.

This means the recovery there will be slow: Spain's economy will have contracted by 3.6% in 2009 and 0.6% in 2010, according to IHS Global Insight estimates.
Economists at IHS Global Insight noted that GDP in the fourth quarter of 2012 was 3.3% below the peak level seen in the first quarter of 2008.
Howard Archer, chief U.K. economist for IHS Global Insight, said the adverse weather could hit most sectors of the economy if people couldn't get to work or shops.
"If you look at the Asian exports, there has been quite a big readjustment in the markets, " says Rajiv Biswas, chief economist for Asia-Pacific at IHS Global Insight.
Tim Urquhart of IHS Global Insight, a research firm, reckons that purely battery-powered cars will command only about 0.6% of world sales in 2020, with plug-in hybrids accounting for a further 0.7%.
Sascha Heiden of IHS Global Insight, a forecasting firm, thinks the scrappage schemes in Western Europe will boost sales by about 1.2m this year and reduce them by 600, 000 next year.
"Today's trade data release has not instilled any more confidence in either the quality of data or the strength of the recovery, " said IHS Global Insight analyst Alistair Thornton in a report.

"The labour market data are disappointingly softer overall and fuel our suspicion that unemployment is likely to trend up gradually in 2011 in the face of below-trend growth and increasing job losses in the public sector, " said Howard Archer at IHS Global Insight.
