Currently on display are Vineyard's ceramic works -- misshapen animals and bowls built around the idea of "wabi-sabi", a Japanese aesthetic celebrating the beauty of imperfection and impermanence.
On view through 30 June in Malingue's white, sunny space are works by contemporary Chinese artist Zhang Huan, who uses ash to craft paintings and sculptures that denote the impermanence of human life.
Mr Moran said the words were reminiscent of the early sections of Neruda's great 1945 poem Heights of Macchu Picchu, which contrasts the "spontaneous and ceaseless self-renewal of Nature with Man's impermanence".
