Liberal Democrat councillor John Marriott said the authority's plans to use reserves could lead to a massiveblackhole in funding, which could eventually lead to higher taxes and cuts.
But despite being millions of times more massive than our own Sun, the blackhole at the centre of our galaxy would be relatively small in cosmic terms.
Depending on its initial mass, it might collapse to a compact hot star known as a white dwarf (when the star's mass is less than 1.4 times the mass of our sun) or to a neutron star (for stars 1.4 to about three times the mass of our sun) or to a blackhole (for stars more massive than three times the mass of our sun).
