Whilst transporting your white-shoe friends out to East Egg, the Panamera GTS glides serenely on its air springs (double wishbones in front, multilink rear).
Hit a bump midcorner and the suspension (wishbones up front and multilink in back) dissipates it nicely, and the TL regains its cornering posture with little oscillation.
The front and rear multilink suspension has been revised to provide better cornering, body control and, most important, isolation, with a pallet full of hydro-elastic bushings between suspension bits and chassis.
The 3's suspension with a proper multilink geometry in the back as compared with a torsion-beam rear axle remains composed under hard braking and cornering, and manages to quell big whoops from the road that would send other compacts into oscillating fits.
