With the active participation of communities and relevant non-governmental organizations, the Tsiattista was included in the National Inventory of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Cyprus created by the Cyprus Research Centre.
R.5: The element is included in the national inventory of intangible cultural heritage of the Republic of Estonia that is administered by the Estonian Folk Culture Development and Training Centre.
The research will focus on the implementation of the measures for safeguarding at a national level the intangible cultural heritage, as defined by the Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage.
U5: After having been included in the heritage inventories of the various counties in which this tradition remains active, the design and practices of bridge building were included on the National List of Intangible Cultural Heritage administered by the Department of Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Ministry of Culture.

This regional meeting will be an opportunity to present and discuss the implementation of the UNESCO 2003 Convention and national measures for the safeguarding of intangible cultural heritage.
In his presentation during the opening session, Mr. Proschan explained in detail the strategy developed by UNESCO to strengthen national capacities for the safeguarding of the intangible cultural heritage in general, and in particular, the regional workshops taught since January 2011 in several regions, including the workshop in Havana.
The strategic emphasis of the Office in the coming years will lie on strengthening capacities of different stakeholders to safeguard intangible cultural heritage at the national level, and to benefit effectively from the opportunities and mechanisms of international cooperation created by the 2003 Convention, now successfully ratified by all Member States of the SEE region.

As a part of its activities to promote and safeguard the intangible cultural heritage of Cyprus, the Cyprus National Commission for UNESCO organises a summer workshop for artists and creators, from the 3rd until the 6th of September in Lefkara.
After the success of this workshop, the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts, in close collaboration with UNESCO Phnom Penh Office, will organize two national workshops this coming year on community-based inventorying of intangible cultural heritage and preparing nominations for the intangible heritage list.

Joanne Orr, Chair of the UK National Commission for UNESCO in Scotland talks about the World Convention safeguarding Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) and an initiative to record ICH in Scotland using an online wiki style inventory.
Through the project, it is expected that national authorities together with communities would be able to devise cost-effective tools and methodologies to inventory Intangible Cultural Heritage which may serve in the future as a model for nation-wide Intangible Cultural Heritage inventorying exercises.
But when peace returns, the rehabilitation and enhancement of these highly symbolic sites, as well as that of cultural spaces or forms of cultural expression belonging to the intangible heritage, can sometimes help to strengthen the process of national reconciliation and revive economic activity.
Participants in the training included staff of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, the Tajik National Conservatory, representatives of public and private museums, representatives of NGOs taking part in the preservation of intangible cultural heritage, as well as artisans and musicians.
