It confuses (a) the fact that is physically necessaryforaperson to remain alive in order for him to continue to have values with (b) themoral priority of his own life over the other things he (or others) might value.
" The law also stipulates that "A person will not be criminally liable for an act that was immediately necessary to save his life, liberty, body or property, or that of another.
"Every time aperson answers their bail and returns to a police station, the investigating officer must satisfy the custody officer that it is necessaryfor that person to remain on bail and that inquiries are being carried out expeditiously, " he added.
