Last December, Forever 21 settled a lawsuit brought against it and 12 subcontractors by factory workers who claimed they were paid less than minimum wage, with no benefits or overtimepay.
There's no money in that budget for overtimepay, so in response to the recent appellate court ruling, she began limiting her workers to 40 hours a week.
The company said management at its Hull factory had "proposed improvements in basic pay and no redundancies in return for the continued suspension of premium pay for overtime and bank holidays".
