The company finally ditched its money-losing NOR flash memory business Monday, completing a deal with hedge-fund Francisco Partners to create a new company, Numonyx, out of chunks of both Intel and STMicroelectronics.
Developed in conjunction with the world's largest NOR Flash provider, Spansion, the R280 boasts 8GB of flash memory, miniSD expansion and a 2.83-inch QVGA screen.
