The Center agrees with former National Security Advisor Zbigniew Brzezinski who on CNN today expressed incredulity that his successor, Anthony Lake, (or perhaps the Secretary of State) was not assigned responsibility for expressing the Administration's views on the Yeltsin statement and responding to reporters' questions about this extraordinarily sensitive topic.
