Fujitsu Limited and France Telecom-Orange today announced a new partnership to offer mobile phones and services in Europe.

Orange started offering broadband earlier this year after the company absorbed internet service provider Wanadoo - also owned by Orange's parent, France Telecom.

Among its many overseas operations, France Telecom owns the Orange mobile phone company in Britain, and Mobistar in Belgium.
Orange, the mobile brand of France Telecom, launched a global free calling and texting application on Thursday, in direct competition with services such as Skype, WhatsApp and Viber.
Dedicated icons on the main screen of the basic smartphones being sold by France Telecom and its subsidiary Orange would connect users straight to the most popular sites.
Mr Snook will become executive chairman when Orange is floated together with other mobile assets of France Telecom later this year, according to UK newspaper reports.
