Russia's Bolshoi Theatre has appointed a former primaballerina as a temporary replacement for its artistic director who is recovering from an acid attack.
Ms Volochkova, who used to enjoy the spotlight as a former Bolshoi Theatre primaballerina, joined Russia's ruling party in 2003 along with a host of cinema, sports and showbusiness celebrities.
In her remarks, CNPC president said she was very pleased to see the primaballerina assoluta's interpretation capacity and the Cuban National Ballet's peculiar way of approaching the safeguarding of the cultural heritage of the country and the rest of the world.
