Canterbury's other important monuments include the Church of StMartin, the oldest church in England and Christ Church Cathedral, where Archbishop Thomas Becket was murdered in 1170.
The school has said it will still be able to hold its Christmas party and carol concert, which has been moved to St Martin's Church on Thursday 20 December.
Next door is the National Portrait Gallery and just across the road is the attractive church of StMartin in the Fields, where you can enjoy free classical music recitals at 1pm on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays.
