The contracts received in the past month range from providing air-to-ground missiles and missile defense systems to light tactical vehicles that can transport troops safely through combat zones.
They may, for tactical reasons, choose to conceal their antipathy to anti-missile programs at variance with that accord, but they will never willingly agree to approve or otherwise legitimize such programs.
This "red-button" is obviously envisioned as the tactical counterpart to the strategic veto over U.S. anti-missile systems that Russia feels the Obama administration has effectively afforded it.
Specifically, there has been no decision to ensure dual-capability in the next generation of tactical aircraft, and there is no planning for a next generation of a sea-based nuclear land-attack missile.
