Now, Engadget has confirmed with a White House official that President Obama will nominate industry veteran, TomWheeler, for the position, in an announcement that will come tomorrow.
With senior Republican Robert McDowell also departing the commission in the next few weeks, two places on the FCC's five-person board will need filling -- with names like TomWheeler, Karen Kornbluh and Catherine Sandoval being bandied about as replacements.
