Relativesandfriends of patients are being advised not to visitthe wards at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh in an effort to stop the outbreak spreading.
Sierra was in regular contact with friendsandrelatives during the trip and had told them she would visit Galata Bridge, which spans Istanbul's Golden Horn waterway, to take photos.
Mr Bertrand also urged people to visit elderly friends, neighbours andrelatives - especially those living on their own during the holiday season, when the French traditionally vacate the cities for the countryside, including many care workers, doctors and nurses.
