Israel's controversial "Waltz With Bashir, " an animated film about a soldier's memories of the 1982 war in Lebanon, received a nomination for best foreign-language film.

It's a movie from an Israeli director named Ari Folman, who did "Waltz with Bashir" - some listeners might remember it - a political documentary that also was a hybrid back in 2008.
