Once on the network, the ARIS WirelessCard for Windows (included) automatically updates software over the Internet to maintain the latest networking and codec technologies.
We wondered if that was because the PowerMac G3 machine there was running a Farallon Skyline wireless PC card and Mac OS9, which the card demands, while the rest of the Macs on the network run OS X.
The system is also made future proof by a patent-pending capability to swap out the wirelesscard should hardware technology change or if the user chooses a different network infrastructure in the future.
