For the inhabitant of Maroth waited carefully for good: but evil came down from the LORD unto the gate of Jerusalem.
玛律的居民心甚忧急，切望得好处，因为灾祸从耶和华那里临到耶路撒冷的城门。
Therefore I fled before unto Tarshish: for I knew that thou art a gracious God, and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repentest thee of the evil.
我知道你是有恩典，有怜悯的神，不轻易发怒，有丰盛的慈爱，并且后悔不降所说的灾，所以我急速逃往他施去。

For how can I endure to see the evil that shall come unto my people?

They said, Turn ye again now every one from his evil way, and from the evil of your doings, and dwell in the land that the LORD hath given unto you and to your fathers for ever and ever
