即致冷,又称冷冻,将物体温度降低到或维持在自然环境温度以下。实现制冷的途径有两种,一是天然冷却,一是人工制冷。天然冷却利用天然冰或深井水冷却物体,但其制冷量(即从被冷却物体取走的热量)和可能达到的制冷温度往往不能满足生产需要。天然冷却是一传热过程。人工制冷是利用制冷设备加入能量,使热量从低温物体向高温物体转移的一种属于热力学过程的单元操作。
就使用性能(performance)来说两者地制冷(refrigeration)都好,空调界是这样说空调地,制冷(refrigeration)是本能,制热显本领!
