abstract:George Gilbert Aimé Murray, OM (2 January 1866 – 20 May 1957) was an Australian-born BritishAustralian by birth, he returned to Australia in the 1890s for a visit. It has been lamented that perhaps the most famous Australian of his time, [he] expressed no interest whatever in Australia.
Even major films occasionally dot the lineup like the deliciously sadistic "Gaslight" (1944), for which Ingrid Bergman won her first Oscar, or Erich von Stroheim's masterly silent version of "The Merry Widow" (1925), starring Mae Murray and John Gilbert.
If he does team up with the LTA, it will be the second high-profile addition to the organisation after Brad Gilbert was hired to coach Andy Murray and to help with the development of junior players.
