Jones's plan aimed to create a huge palace covering the area now known as DowningStreet, Horse Guards Parade, Whitehalland large swathes of St James' Park.
The Daily Telegraph has photographed Mr Jones emerging from a chauffeur-driven Jaguar after a journey of no more than 100 metres between the Wales Office in Whitehalland a cabinet meeting in DowningStreet, which is just over the road from Gwydyr House.
They visited the Wales Office to meet Secretary of State for Wales, Cheryl Gillan, at Gwydyr House, Whitehall, and then have their photograph taken outside 10 DowningStreet.
