阴离子是指原子由于外界作用得到一个或几个电子，使其最外层电子数达到稳定结构。原子半径越小的原子其得电子能力越强，金属性也就越弱。阴离子是带负电荷的离子，核电荷数=质子数<核外电子数，所带负电荷数等于原子得到的电子数。
