坏死性筋膜炎是一种广泛而迅速的皮下组织和筋膜坏死为特征的软组织感染，常伴有全身中毒性休克。本病是多种细菌的混合感染，其中主要是化脓性链球菌和金黄葡萄球菌等需氧菌。本病感染只损害皮下组织和筋膜，不累及感染部位的肌肉组织是其重要特征。
