复方甘草酸苷为白色或类白色的疏松块状物。适应于治疗慢性肝病，改善肝功能异常。可用于治疗湿疹、皮肤炎、荨麻疹。甘氨酸及盐酸半胱氨酸可以抑制或减轻由于大量长期使用甘草酸苷可能出现的电解质代谢异常所致的假性醛固酮症状。
