淀粉酶为胰腺所分泌的消化酵素，经胰导管随胰液排入十二指肠。测定尿淀粉酶主要用于胰腺炎的诊断。尿淀粉酶较血清淀粉酶增高较迟，于急性胰腺炎起病后12～24小时始可增高，下降亦较慢（多持续3～10天）。慢性胰腺炎急性发作时，可有中等程度增高。此外，胰腺癌、胰腺损伤、急性胆囊炎等，此酶活性亦增高。
