爱尔兰国家图书馆位于首都都柏林，是隶属于艺术、体育与旅游部的一个文化机构。根据1876年的法案，都柏林皇家学会的图书馆被更名为爱尔兰国家图书馆。由于馈赠和采购，图书馆馆藏迅速扩充，1890年迁入目前的建筑物。1552年成立的纹章办公室于1943年成为图书馆的一个部门——家谱办公室。
