链状带绦虫也称猪肉绦虫、猪带绦虫或有钩绦虫，是中国主要的人体寄生绦虫。古代医籍中称之为寸白虫或白虫。早在公元217年，《金匮要略》中即有白虫的记载，公元610年巢元方在《诸病源候论》中将该虫体形态描述为“长一寸而色白、形小扁”，并指出因炙食肉类而传染。 中国《神农本草经》中记录了三种驱白虫的草药。人体感染囊尾蚴早在1558年就为Rumber所发现，以后又由Kuchemeister与Leuchart分别以饲养方式证实了猪囊尾蚴与人体成虫的关系。
