又称相体积分数（Φ）：内相占乳剂总体积的分数。具有相同粒径的球体，最紧密填充时，球体的最大体积为74%，如果球体之间再填充不同粒径的小球体，球体所占总体积可达90%。理论上相容积比在小于74%的前提下，相容积比越大越稳定，因为此时乳滴运动空间小。实际上乳剂的相容积比达50%时能显著降低分层速度，因此相容积比一般在40%-60%之间比较稳定。相容积比<25%时乳滴容易分层，分散相的体积超过60%时，乳滴之间距离很近易发生合并或转相。
