又称聚氧化丙烯。在碱金属氢氧化物和起始剂(通常为含有两个以上活泼氢原子的化合物)作用下开环聚合生成的聚醚多元醇(polyol),亦简称聚醚。视所用起始剂的不同,可分为软泡聚醚、硬泡聚醚和弹性体聚醚。软泡聚醚主要做聚氨酯软泡(用于床垫、沙发、家具及汽车坐垫),硬泡聚醚主要做聚氨酯硬泡(用于保冷、冰箱);弹性体聚醚主要做聚氨酯弹性体(用作跑道、涂料、黏合剂、密封剂)。
