由结晶的、短链聚酯硬段和无定型的、长链聚酯软段交替组成的线型嵌段共聚物。硬段(熔点约2000℃)分散于软段的连续相中，在此结构中，结晶相起物理交联作用，受热时软化流动，赋予聚合物强度和可塑性，而软段玻璃化温度较低(约-500℃)赋予聚合物弹性，调节两相比例即可改变聚合物硬度、模量、熔点、耐化学性和气密性。
