载人飞船（manned spacecraft） 能保障航天员在外层空间生活和工作以执行航天任务并返回地面的航天器。又称宇宙飞船。载人飞船可以独立进行航天活动，也可用为往返于地面和空间站之间的“渡船”，还能与空间站或其他航天器对接后进行联合飞行。载人飞船容积较小，受到所载消耗性物质数量的限制，不具备再补给的能力，而且不能重复使用。1961年苏联发射了第一艘东方号飞船，后来又发射了上升号和联盟号飞船。美国也相继发射了水星号、双子星座号、阿波罗号等载人飞船。阿波罗号是登月载人飞船。
