2014GINA指南对哮喘的定义：哮喘为一种异质性疾病，常以慢性气道炎症为特征，包含随时间不断变化的呼吸道症状病史，如喘息、气短、胸闷和咳嗽，同时具有可变性呼气气流受限。 就病因而言，为遗传因素与环境因素共同作用致病，当环境因素为食物诱发时称为食物过敏性哮喘或食物过敏诱发的哮喘（food-induced asthma，FIA），是食物过敏症（food anaphylaxis，FA）的一种特殊表现形式。FA主要表现为皮肤，呼吸道和胃肠道反应，如风疹，喉水肿，哮喘和腹泻，也可产生严重的全身过敏反应，FA的患病率在总人口中占l%～2%，而在儿童为8%，在FA的患者中哮喘病的患病率明显增加，为6.8%～17%；而对牛奶过敏的儿童，哮喘的患病率则高达26%。在我国人群 中，FA患病率为3%～14%，约有30%的哮喘患者有摄入某种食物后诱发哮喘的病史。
