Derek quickly came to me in a blur and I saw that his transformed figure still took over his body. He hovered over me, but also keeping watch. I couldn't stand up, yet. My hand felt numb now and so did my knees. Soon, when Derek felt that there was no more danger, he shifted back to his human form. But he still looked tensed as he lifted me up.
