Warhol was a leading exponent of the pop art movement that flourished in the 1960s, with images of Marilyn Monroe, Elizabeth Taylor and Campbell's soupcans among his most famous works.
Indeed Rockwell out-Popped Warhol when he leant his name to a correspondence course called the Famous Artists School an easy-going coup for which Warhol would surely have given one of his Campbell's soupcans.
