It seems Google is going out of its way to make it clear that this isn't a mass market device, with ChromeOS still in the beta stage, and no apparent intentions to compete with third parties in the hardware space.
Besides a seemingly broad range of employees, consumers, and technology journalists, Google is running beta tests of the ChromeOS machine with a range of businesses and institutions, including American Airlines, Kraft, Interncontinental Hotels, Cardinal Health, Virgin America, and the Department of Defense.
