ATLANTA, Georgia (CNN) -- Independent presidential candidate Ralph Nader said he will meet with presumptive Democratic nominee John Kerry next month to discuss their "common objective" of beating President Bush in November.
It is far more common for the Senate to bear down on nominees during their confirmation hearings, as was the case for Treasury secretary nominee Jacob Lew, and then proceed to a vote.
"I believe strongly that there is a shared and common purpose that we all hold very dear, regardless of who you are supporting at this time for the Democratic nominee as president, " she added.
