Just because a drug is on thelistdoesn'tmeanit isn'tsafe- or even that it caused the suspectedproblem. Nobody should stoptaking adrug just because it's on the list, the FDAsays.
But as long as there is demand for cheap knockoffs--and patients are willing to chance taking them in order to save money on skyrocketing drug prices--the counterfeit problem is not likely to go away.
