Most commonly light blue and white, the coat of arms does appear in different colour combinations depending on the use (see below).
Its choice as the Palestinian delegation's headquarters ten years ago, when Israel and its Arab neighbours boldly embarked on the Madrid peace conference, made it an emblemof the longed-for turn from war to peace.
