Blagojevich was convicted in June on 17 counts of wire fraud, bribery, attempted extortion and conspiracy after he was accused of trying to sell or trade the U.S. Senate seat left vacant by President Barack Obama, plus others.
Even if he escapes prosecution in Florida, he faces a federal trial this spring on 61 counts of tax evasion, mail fraud, wire fraud, bank fraud, extortion, money-laundering and conspiracy.
