abstract:Nuclear reactors line the riverbank at the Hanford Site along the [[Columbia River in January 1960. The N Reactor is in the foreground, with the twin KE and KW Reactors in the immediate background.
Today, the Hanfordsite is a virtual ghost town and those involved in the clean-up project say they will need every dollar of the federal stimulus funds.
While debate continues over whether and how stimulus dollars should be used, the Tri-Cities area that surrounds the Hanfordsite -- which includes Richland, Kennewick and Pasco -- is reaping the benefits of the clean-up boom.
