Two surveys released last year by the American Jewish Committee and Brandeis University's Cohen Center for ModernJewishStudies showed that three quarters of American Jews care deeply about Israel and that Israel is an important part of their Jewish identity.
As for young American Jews, according to a study published in August 2010 by Brandeis University's Cohen Center for ModernJewishStudies, the ratio of young American Jews who feel attached to Israel - while lower than that of older Jews -- has remained constant over the past twenty years.
